Boston lettuce
Boston lettuce
Bag of +- 400 seeds
Boston lettuce has a mild flavor and its round, firm head can measure up to 12 inches in diameter.
Lettuce prefers to grow in cool weather. Thus, you can sow your first seeds directly in the garden as soon as the soil is malleable. Sow the seeds 12 inches apart a few millimeters deep. Ensure a consistent harvest by sowing new seeds every 2 weeks. The leaves can be harvested throughout the season until the main stem of the plant begins to grow, this is when the leaves turn bitter.
Tip: Apply mulch around the plants to conserve moisture and control weeds.
